To use the ink costs calculator:

Select the number of cartridges your printer uses.
Enter the cost of the original and compatible alternatives.
Enter the number of pages each cartridge will print (this information can typically be found on the manufacturer's website, although the 500 pages per cartridge default is a reasonable approximation for most inkjet printers. Toner cartridges typically vary between 2000 and 5000 pages).
